Description of Copco Astro Stainless-Steel Teakettle
Unique styling and 18/10 stainless steel construction make Astro the perfect accent for any decor. An angled handle, recessed, easily accessible side lid lifts and flip-up whistle complete this distinctive kettle.A tuneful, mid-range harmony characterizes the sound of this whistling teakettle when it hits a boil, perfect for those who can?t stand a piercing blare. Generously sized at 2-3/4 quarts, the Astro features a wide base that places a greater surface area on the burner, which in turn brings water to a boil more quickly. Astro?s distinctive modern look features a cantilevered handle and two recessed finger grips on the lid, all made of heat-resistant phenolic material. A thumb-operated lever lifts the whistle lid (decorated with a musical note) and locks it open for convenient, safe pouring. Copco has made the mirror-finish, 18/10 stainless steel of the body 20 percent thicker than most similar teakettles, which gives it a very substantial, quality feel.
